A lot has been on my mind lately, between work, personal, spiritual and everything in between. And it has left me with a renewed sense of inspiration. Something I know, for most of us, waxes and wanes. Something that seems like we just can’t call on when we really need to.
As someone all too familiar with this scenario, when I find inspiration I try to hold onto it for dear life in a sort of death grip, if you will; because I know if I let my grip get too loose, it will be lost. But the longer I can hold on, the more I can wring out of it. On the other hand, the longer I try to hold on, the more exhausted I can get. So this got me thinking about seizing opportunities when they present themselves and even more than that, being open enough to recognize them when they appear.
Sometimes we need inspiration just to complete the seemingly mundane activities of daily life. Other times we need it for much larger undertakings, such as starting a new workout regimen, writing something that can touch other people’s lives or working on a project that can have large personal implications. Whatever your situation, the important thing to recognize isn’t the inspiration itself, but the opportunities for inspiration and seizing as many as you possibly can.
I can’t tell you how many times random events or occurrences in my life have spawned inspiration in my own life. And I love that I am constantly surprised by just what things can provide that inspiration. Sometimes it requires taking a chance or putting yourself in an uncomfortable situation, but when you do, the rewards can be so sweet, you forget why you were even uncomfortable to begin with.
So today, I challenge you to take more chances and be open to more opportunities that can show themselves in many different shapes and forms. To find the inspiration to seize more of them and to watch how they can transform your life or cause you to grow in ways you never thought possible.
Keep Being Inspired!
